About the Springside Residents' Association

Entry Gate The Springside Residents' Association (SRA) is a non-profit society whose Membership includes all the homeowners of the neighbourhood of Springside, Calgary, Alberta. Springside is a unique neighbourhood that has been developed with landscaping enhancements for the enjoyment of its residents. To ensure that residents continue to enjoy this enriched environment, the Springside Residents' Association was created. The Association's mandate is to maintain the landscape standards adopted by the neighbourhood of Springside. The Association's landscaping and seasonal maintenance is funded primarily through the annual collection of fees from each member and with cooperation from the City of Calgary.

SRA Mandate

Springside is a unique neighbourhood that has been developed with landscaping enhancements for the enjoyment of its residents. To ensure that residents continue to enjoy this enriched environment, the Springside Residents’ Association was created.

The Springside Residents’ Association is a non-profit society whose Membership includes all the homeowners of the neighborhood of Springside. The Association’s Mandate is to maintain the landscape standards adopted by the neighborhood of Springside. The Association’s landscaping and seasonal maintenance will be funded through the annual collection of fees from each member and cooperation from the City of Calgary.

The Volunteer Board of Directors made up of homeowners from Springside serves as an extension of the neighborhood’s values and pride. The Board will fulfill the Association’s Mandate and represent the views of the Members through the following:

* Working closely with the maintenance contractors and City of Calgary to ensure that these standards of maintenance are maintained year-round.

* Ensuring that all proceeds received from Members and through City of Calgary Operating Grants result in the maximum possible benefit to the neighborhood through responsible management of these funds.

* Communicating with Residents to identify their needs, concerns and suggestions.

* Reporting on the performance of the Association and upcoming initiatives through an Annual General Meeting, and other special meetings as needed.

* Adding future landscape enhancements to Springside’s public spaces to meet the evolving needs of the neighborhood over time.
